Dr. Joseph Gambardella, DC

Instructor

Dr. Joseph Gambardella is a leading specialist in anti-aging and regenerative medicine, holding dual Fellowships in Stem Cell Therapy and Functional Medicine. As a graduate of the prestigious Kalish Institute of Functional Medicine, he has developed a systems-based approach to identifying and addressing the underlying drivers of aging, inflammation, and metabolic dysfunction. Certified in peptide therapy, hormone replacement, and spinal decompression, he delivers cutting-edge, patient-focused care to restore health, maximize vitality, and help reverse age-related decline.

As the founder of Advanced Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of Miami and Jupiter Disc Center, he integrates regenerative therapies, functional medicine, and advanced mechanical treatments to enhance patient outcomes. He is graduate of Villanova University and Life University College of Chiropractic, where he holds post-doctorate degrees in sports medicine and rehabilitation, neuromuscular therapy, and in treatment of degenerative disc disorders where he is double board certified in Non-Surgical Spinal decompression by the International Medical Advisory Board on Spinal Decompression.

He was a former assistant physician for the University of Miami football team, the team physician for the FIU women's sand volleyball team, and has contributed to The Ultimate Spinal Decompression Book and The World’s Best Kept Health Secret Revealed, Vol. III. He currently hosts the Healthy Dose podcast where he shares insights on regenerative medicine, functional medicine, and anti-aging breakthroughs, helping patients achieve long-term health and peak performance.

Kristina Alvarez, PA-C

Kristina is a highly accomplished medical professional with over a decade of expertise in joint injections, regenerative medicine, and functional medicine. She trained under the esteemed Dr. Frank Shallenberger, the pioneer of Prolozone Therapy, and is fellowship-trained in ozone and Prolozone Therapy, solidifying her status as a leader in cutting-edge, non-surgical pain management solutions.

Kristina’s academic background is equally impressive. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Health Science with a Minor in Biology from Florida International University before advancing to Barry University, where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Science. Demonstrating exceptional dedication and academic excellence, she then pursued her Physician Assistant Degree at Nova Southeastern University, earning a second Master’s Degree in Medical Science—where she graduated as the Valedictorian of her class.

With specialized training in advanced regenerative medicine and pain management techniques, Kristina is committed to restoring joint function, reducing pain, and promoting long-term healing for her patients using the most innovative, evidence-based treatments available.

Beyond her professional achievements, Kristina is a passionate University of Miami football fan. She cherishes spending time with her husband, Ben, their daughter, and their beloved Rottweiler, embracing an active and family-centered lifestyle.
